Islamic Relief (IR) is a humanitarian NGO working in Palestine since 1998. Islamic Relief helps the needy people without regard to creed, race, gender, or ethnicity. It works on achieving economic and social welfare through its joint development and emergency programmes with the local community. Islamic Relief announces the following vacancy for its office in Gaza.

Title: Agriculture Project Officer.

    Ref: APO/E/22/2010

    Location: Gaza Office

Duration: 07 months (full time).

Main Duties: To coordinate and provide oversight for implementation of Agriculture project, Coordinate with stakeholders in agriculture sector, Coordinate with other agencies / INGOs / government, Conduct site visits to review and assess the needs of the damaged farmers.

Candidates must possess the following competencies:

1.  A university degree in Veterinary medicine, Agriculture engineer, Animal production .

2.  Minimum of two years management and technical experience in Evaluation and screening the livestock and animal production .

3.  Strong planning, communications and coordination skills .

4.  Ability to work under pressure and within a team .

5.  Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet .

6.  Very good in English (written and spoken) .

7.  V. Good technical reporting skills .
