Mιdecins du Monde France (MDM-F) is an international medical organization, which has been present in the Palestinian Territories since 1995 and in the Gaza Strip since 2002.
MDM-F is currently working in Nablus district of the West Bank in the field of mental health, and in Gaza Strip in support to Primary Health Care services, Emergency Medical Care and Orthopedic Care. MDM-F works in cooperation with the Ministry of Health (MoH) and different national and international partners.
MDM-F is looking for an experienced and motivated candidate to drive MDM France team:
Driver, Gaza
Duration: 12 months with possibility of extent the contract
Main duties:
- Drive the team according to the movement planning.
- Drive, carry, collect and distribute letters, goods and documents as required.
- Apply MDM security guidelines and specific instructions related to each movement.
- Inform the Base Logistician during movements according to MDM security guidelines (back up).
- Inform immediately the Base Logistician or the Field Coordinator in case of any accident; follow MDM
procedures applicable in such situation.
- Ensure all maintenance of the vehicles and check all levels daily. Immediately report any technical
failure / problem of the vehicle.
- Update logbooks daily.
- Perform relevant but minor logistic and administrative tasks as needed and requested by the Base
logistician or Field Coordinator.
- Perform any other additional duty on request of his/her supervisor.
Requirements :
Education and background: minimum secondary school degree (Tawjihi).
Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
Minimum 3 years of previous experience with INGO as a driver.
Clean valid driving license.
Older than 24 years old.
Extensive driving experience.
Able to communicate in English language.
Knowledge in mechanics and car maintenance.
Knowledge in safety rules, and Gaza strip streets.
Knowledge of computer skills are an asset
